To provide proper ventilated façade function, there must be uninterrupted airflow.

To this end, you must bear the following essential points in mind:

  • The air chamber between the panels and the insulation or enclosure must be at least 20 mm, although national or local law must be followed. See certificates
  • Leave at least a 20 mm opening on the bottom and top of the façade and on doors and windows so that air can flow vertically.
  • It is advisable to only use vertical laths that do not interfere with air flow. If using horizontal strips that make vertical flow difficult, said strips must be perforated such that they provide 20 cm2/m flow in façade coverings of a height up to 1 m and 50 cm2/m for façade coverings with a height greater than 1 m.
